Tracy Tyler
Managing Director,

As Managing Director of Human Capital Solutions, Tracy Tyler has been a driving force behind the strategy and growth of A.J. O’Connor Associates’ Human Capital Consulting practice. Tracy partners with senior leaders to craft strategies that support talent management at every level in the organization. As practice leader, she partners with the AJO coaches and consultants to ensure these strategies are well executed.
While in her own practice, Tracy spent years in the field of organizational design – working inside multibillion dollar companies, crafting strategies for process integration, structural challenges and cultural adaptation. She has worked with senior teams to influence change in the Retail, Energy, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Consumer Products and Financial Services industries through merger integration, leadership development, executive coaching and performance management.
Tracy developed leadership feedback instruments, and worked with the CEO of a major energy company to recreate the vision, values and guiding principles for the organization. She has developed competencies for all levels of employees; designed and supported 360 degree feedback instruments; developed and managed career management programs; developed change management strategies; and was a major contributor to the succession planning and performance management processes in her internal corporate positions. She led the reorganization of various company divisions addressing strategy, structure, and processes, and facilitated strategic design meetings with senior leadership teams. Tracy also facilitated the alignment of the business with the organizational strategies and helped implement a balanced scorecard measurement approach.
Highly regarded within the human resources profession, Tracy is currently a Co-President of the New Jersey Human Resource Planning Group, having served on its Board of Directors since 1999. She has been successful in attracting cutting edge business professionals and in bringing key thought leaders to the organization. She is an affiliate president of the National Human Resource Planning Society (HRPS), and is affiliated with the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA), the Association for the Management of Organization Design (AMOD), the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE), and the Organization Development Network (ODN).
Tracy has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in organization design, organizational change, team development, leadership, and coaching. She earned a B.A. from Brandeis University and an M.B.A. in Organization Management from Rutgers University.
