A.J. O’Connor Associates formed the Senior Human Resource Advisory Board (SHRAB) in June 2008, to bring together senior human resource leaders from organizations in the Tri-state area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut). An online community was created in 2011 to share resources and provide a communications platform between meetings.

Here's What They're Saying

“As a long-time member of the Senior HR Advisory Board (SHRAB), I value not only the connections I have made with other senior leaders but also the opportunity to come together to learn from one another, gain insight into workforce issues we are all dealing with and having an open and candid forum within which to discuss a variety of topics. It is a great resource to gather information on policies and practices of other organizations which has been beneficial when I’ve wanted to collect some quick benchmarks.”
Renee DeFranco

“The SHRAB provides an excellent opportunity for senior HR executives to share information and best practices through networking events, group e-mails and formal meetings. I have found that my peers who participate in the SHRAB are genuinely interested in the enrichment of the HR function and continuous improvement of their organization’s performance and the work life of their employees.”
Mike Kahrer
